WOE aims is to provide refuge to women, who are seeking life change through the love of Christ Jesus, Yeshua. Our 12-month Residential Discipleship Program provides transitional, and temporary housing for women. WOE will provide these women with the tools needed to address the issues that led to their self-destructive behaviors. This program will provide daily discipleship sessions, budget and financial management, life skills, vocational and educational services, and appropriate referrals when needed.

The structured environment will teach these women the importance and how to love and respect themselves, while affirming them spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. By housing these women in this structured environment, it will reduce recidivism. It will offer the support needed to combat the rising crime rate and allow the women to become productive women of society.

WOE develops affiliations with agencies that will provide good-paying jobs and training. We are committed in assisting these women in functioning independently and re-entering society with smooth transition.

WOE Incorporated was founded by Laverna Moorer, a mother of three children, who was sentenced to 8 1/3 years to life for the first time in Bedford Hill Correctional Facility.

WOE Incorporated is a non-profit, Christian-based organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of women returning to prison, substance abuse, domestic violence, and homelessness. WOE Incorporated is committed to addressing issues of mother-child separation, child attachment disorders, and replicable programs that serve the community by reducing crime. We are NOT a shelter, we are a 12 month, re-entry program.

a message from our founder...

A new piece of clay is hard to work with before it can be placed into a mold. The potter must skillfully kneed it until it becomes soft and pliable. When the master Potter, Christ Jesus, Yeshua, is working on the clay of your life, He will begin to remove the parts that keep it from being pliable. We must be pliable to allow the Potter to do whatever is necessary to mold or transform us into his masterpiece.
